Purpose of this meeting
Wellesley SEPAC is hosting a parent/caregiver discussion in advance of the Superintendent’s community meeting about next steps for the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services role. Our goal is to provide context, clarify the decision points, and help families prepare questions and feedback to share with district leadership.
What’s being discussed
The district is considering options for a permanent appointment, including whether to:
- Offer the current interim administrator the permanent role, or
- Post the position and conduct a search process.
We understand there are benefits and risks to both approaches.
Discussion guidelines
- Please focus on process, priorities, and student needs, rather than personal commentary.
- Please do not share student names or identifying information.
- SEPAC is not the hiring authority and is not endorsing any candidate.
- WPS policy prohibits recording without consent.
Superintendent community meeting
The Superintendent and Director of HR will host a community meeting to solicit parent/caregiver feedback on the options for the Student Services leadership role. We encourage families who are able to attend and share input.
